Just Plain Tuesday

Can it be January already? Please? I’m getting a little sick of the crappy attitude the left has amplified since they got whupped. Is anybody else just a little nervous about the phony recall? Hillary can’t win, but the goal was to delegitimize Trump the way they did with W. after Florida 2000. All I can say is it’s a good thing he won by a big enough margin to overcome the rampant fraud that’s coming to light.

Half of Detroit votes may be ineligible for recount
One-third of precincts in Wayne County could be disqualified from an unprecedented statewide recount of presidential election results because of problems with ballots.
Michigan’s largest county voted overwhelmingly for Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton, but officials couldn’t reconcile vote totals for 610 of 1,680 precincts during a countywide canvass of vote results late last month.
Most of those are in heavily Democratic Detroit, where the number of ballots in precinct poll books did not match those of voting machine printout reports in 59 percent of precincts, 392 of 662.

WHAT’S GOING ON? Trump Loses 16,648 Votes in Pennsylvania In the Last Week
Massive voter fraud in Pennsylvania has been identified. The final certified results in Pennsylvania show Donald Trump winning the state with 2,961,658 votes, while former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton won 2,913,903 votes. The difference is 47,755 votes. This is what is now reported after absentee ballots were counted as reported on Friday, December 2nd.
This means that of the 20,736 absentee ballots cast, 18,467 went to Clinton— This is highly suspect.
What’s Going On?
In addition, there were 41,120 more votes cast for President than for the Senate race in Pennsylvania when looking at the final tallies. This too is suspect.
50124343Over the weekend, voter fraud was reported in Nevada where Jill Stein and Hillary Clinton have not requested recounts. Of course this is because Hillary was awarded Nevada’s Electoral College votes in the election. Pennsylvania is one of the three states Stein and Clinton have chosen for recounts.

Federal judge orders recount in Michigan, placing Electoral College votes at risk
SO NICE TO HAVE FEDERAL JUDGES ON THE PAYROLL WHEN YOU NEED THEM
Goldsmith’s order thus puts Michigan’s 16 Electoral College votes at risk if the state cannot complete a hand recount of every ballot within the next eight days or if Goldsmith’s order is not overturned on appeal.

Obstruction Ahead: Senate Dems Plot Course to Delay or Derail Trump Cabinet Picks
Senate Democrats are preparing to put Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks through a grinding confirmation process, weighing delay tactics that could eat up weeks of the Senate calendar and hamper his first 100 days in office. Multiple Democratic senators told POLITICO in interviews last week that after watching Republicans sit on Merrick Garland’s nomination to the Supreme Court for nearly a year, they’re in no mood to fast-track Trump’s selections.

Bill Whittle is back with another Firewall commentary, this time about Hillary Clinton’s final disgrace. Benghazi. Emails. Even leaving her supporters out in the cold on election night while she smashed things and hit people… Just when you think she cannot sink any lower, she finds a way.

Lift the Vote: Evangelicals Made the Difference in Florida, Other Swing States
“Trump carried the Evangelical vote by an overwhelming 81-16 margin,” Lift the Vote said in a statement released last week, citing preliminary exit polling data from a Pew Research report released on November 9, the day after the election.
“That represents a three point increase for Trump over Romney’s percentage four years ago, and a five point decline in support for Clinton versus Obama … a total eight point swing,” Lift the Vote noted.

Senate Majority Leader McConnell Against Free Speech – Surrendering FCC to Obama
Multiple DC sources have confirmed to GotNews that an effort to give Democrats control of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for months into Trump’s presidency is actually being led by Republican Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell himself.
McConnell has reached an agreement with President Barack Obama and Democratic Senator Harry Reid to trade away control of the FCC for in exchange for confirmation of his own staffer, Neil Chatterjee, to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC)

WI Lawmaker: Dems Are Stalling, Recount Will Not Be Completed, State Will Be Forfeited– WON’T COUNT FOR TRUMP
All of the votes in Wisconsin have to be certified by December 13 before electors meet on December 19 to formally cast their votes.
Duffy noted that Jill Stein and Hillary Clinton operatives in Dane County Wisconsin, where liberal Madison is located, are deliberately slowing down the vote counting process (primarily by doing a hand recount) in an effort to disenfranchise Wisconsin electors from being able to cast their votes for Trump.

“They want to slow walk the vote counting so they can somewhat get a stain on the election of Donald Trump and start his presidency off with mud throwing and dirt throwing,” said Duffy.

Kerry: Trump ‘elected chieftain’ — but America has other leaders too
CHIEFTAIN? DID HE REALLY USE THAT WORD?
President-elect Trump may have been “elected chieftain,” as Secretary of State John Kerry put it, but his policy priorities will be constrained by a need for consensus.
The outgoing secretary of state underlined the point by noting that “even in countries that are totalitarian by most measurements, there’s a lot of consensus-building … our future is not defined just by an election. I guess that’s the bottom line of what I’m saying.”

University’s ‘Whiteness Forum’ takes ‘critical look at whiteness’

Students at Cal State San Marcos on Thursday hosted a “Whiteness Forum” as part of a communications class they are enrolled in, setting up more than a dozen displays that highlighted what they contend is how white privilege has oppressed people of color in a variety of ways.
A “Make America White Again” display included an image of Donald Trump’s baseball hat and argued his campaign has led to a wave of hate crimes.
Other displays: “Gentrification is the new Colonialism,” “Stand up for Standing Rock” and a “Wheel of Whiteness.”

A REAL TOUGH GUY
An argument over the recent election ended with one Donora, Pennsylvania, supporter of Hillary Clinton charged with assault after hitting a 69-year-old woman over the head with a chair, according to police.
Matthew Pugh, 27, was arrested on November 30 on charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, and reckless endangerment, after allegedly attacking the elderly woman in the lobby of a high rise, according to the Observer-Reporter.

He Had Me, Then He Lost Me

Mitch McConnell has been described as a turtle. He reminds me of another reptile…a snake.
My memory is not so short that I’ve forgotten the way he treated the Tea Party members who were elected in 2010. How he bragged about destroying them. He’s the ultimate DC insider. He’s almost never stood up to his buddies the democrats when there was a deal to be made and he could get something out of it. Almost never. Then he starts sounding like Trump is helping him find a little courage.
McConnell’s Decision To Block Obama’s SCOTUS Pick Looks Brilliant Right Now
When news broke that Scalia had died unexpectedly Feb. 13, McConnell stunned the White House by almost immediately releasing a statement declaring the Senate would block any Obama nominee to replace him on the bench.
“The American people should have a voice in the selection of their next Supreme Court Justice,” McConnell said in a statement less than an hour after the news of Scalia’s death broke. “Therefore, this vacancy should not be filled until we have a new President.”

THEN I SAW THIS:
McConnell: Oh Yeah, We’re Going To Move To Repeal Obamacare
I’LL BELIEVE IT WHEN I SEE IT
Senate Republicans, flush with victory and defying the odds, have maintained their majority in the upper chamber and vowed to move quickly on repealing Obamacare. Senate Majority Mitch McConnell (R-KY) said, “It’s pretty high on our agenda as you know. I would be shocked if we didn’t move forward and keep our commitment to the American people.”

HE’S SAYING THE RIGHT THINGS, BUT THEN THERE’S THIS:
McConnell hints against nuke option to kill Dem filibusters
IF HE ALLOWS THE DEMOCRATS TO FILIBUSTER TRUMP WILL NEVER GET A CONSTITUTIONALIST APPOINTED TO SCOTUS.
THAT WAS ONE OF THE BIGGEST REASONS HE WON TUESDAY.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell hinted Wednesday that he doesn’t support the controversial idea of changing Senate rules to kill Democratic filibusters, and instead indicated that this move might be seen as an overreach by Republicans.
When Democrats ran the Senate, they changed the rules to allow for simple majority votes for judicial nominees, but not Supreme Court nominees, which can still be filibustered. But despite speculation that Republicans will take this next step, McConnell indicated some resistance to it when asked.
The option of ending filibusters on high court nominees has been raised because Republicans have blocked President Obama’s nominee, Merrick Garland, for months now. As a result, Democrats are expected to block Donald Trump’s nominee once he takes office next year, and some Republicans say another rule change is needed to ensure the nominee can get through.

There is much to do and not much time to get it done. In two years there will be another fight and nobody knows what the landscape will look like. Suffice to say Trump is no weak-kneed moderate pansy.

HADN’T PLANNED ON PUTTING THIS HERE, BUT IT JUST FIT
Trump: The Left Just Lost The War On Climate Change
The Global Warming/Climate Change Hoax is the biggest scam ever perpetrated on this planet. It is a socialist scheme to redistribute wealth and control populations by restricting their access to abundant, affordable energy. Myron Ebell would be an excellent choice for EPA Administrator.
But with a climate skeptic running the most powerful nation in the world, the $1.5 trillion per annum climate change industry is going to start to unravel big time. A Trump presidency is likely to be good news for fossil fuels (and heavy industry that needs cheap energy to survive); and very bad news for renewables.

What does Trump’s victory mean for energy policy? ‘Climate sanity has been restored to the US’
Real estate mogul Donald Trump has won the presidential election, and that likely means the Obama administration’s global warming agenda will be massively scaled back or scrapped altogether.
cdbnxelxeaemvrx_zpskl3npn0tTrump, a Republican, has promised to cut the EPA, scrap the Paris climate treaty and rollback rules holding back U.S. energy production.
Trump’s win comes as United Nations delegates meet in Morocco to discuss how to implement a major global warming agreement hashed out in Paris last year. Trump promised to tear up the agreement, and scrap the main way Obama planned on meeting his climate pledge.

THIS IS WHY I HATED HAVING TO DO AN OUTLINE FOR MY WRITING IN SCHOOL. I COULD NEVER STICK TO THE SCRIPT.
The Nuclear Option: Welcome, Democrats, to the Revolution
Tens of millions of voters cast ballots Tuesday for Hillary Clinton. Except for a relative handful of wealthy and connected people, nobody actually wanted to vote for her.
She is the most corrupt, compromised, dishonest, self-dealing, delusional and unlikeable candidate perhaps to ever run for president.
I used to wonder why President Obama would want to hand his legacy over to such fake and felonious monster. Then I realized that he doesn’t really care about anything but himself and for as long as she is around, people will miss him.
Anyway, Mrs. Clinton’s campaign was about everything and anything and, in the end, nothing.
In the Republican revolution, Mr. Trump gave voice to voters who have been ignored by GOP leaders for decades. He gave them a voice and together they changed the party’s stance on immigration, trade, economics, national security and globalism.
He uprooted and altered the very language the party spoke. The whispered tiptoeing of political correctness was slain.
The same revolution that exploded the Republican Party this year is still boiling inside the Democratic Party. Eventually, it will explode. And the longer it seethes, the more devastating the explosion will be.

Summer Fun… Day Two

Some really interesting things today. Of special note, Antonio Sabato Jr., after his speech, did an interview with CNN where he accused Obama of being a Muslim and destroying the country. The fun part is watching the two hacks squirm and the pained looks as they listened to him rip their boy apart. Another is watching the embarrassment who jokingly calls herself the First Lady puts her grace and dignity on display as she does car karaoke to Beyonce. She’s done every other manner of television show, so it fits. Six more long months.

GOP Insiders Determined to Make Their Suicide a Messy One

Mitch-the-bitch2j

With the most popular Republican Presidential candidate (and possibly the top two) in open existential warfare with the GOP leadership, it’s clear that the party, as we know it, will not survive into 2017.  A leadership change is being forced by deeply unhappy conservative voters, but the old guard leaders, represented by Senators McConnell and Graham and House Speaker Ryan (and Boehner before him) are not going quietly into the night.

In fact, recent actions by the party indicate an unthinkable level of willingness to self-destruct, even to purposely lose the election rather than allow a popular outsider like Donald Trump to win the nomination and the general election.  According to Politico, GOP leadership is taking measures to set up a possible independent run at the last minute in order to split the vote and prevent their own candidate from winning the general.

Although shockingly deceitful and destructive, such a move actually makes sense.  The current party leadership might survive another loss to Democrats with whom they share more in common than they do with their increasingly alienated constituency.  But they might not survive a huge victory by a free candidate, like Trump, “loaded for bear” against them.

Another strategy reported by the New York Times is for the GOP leadership to force a brokered convention and nominate a candidate friendlier than Trump: Marco Rubio or John Kasich – but NOT Ted Cruz.  BlurBrain commented about this as follows (emphasis mine):

Why not just run Romney or McCain again?

Once again the Party elites are bound and determined to find some way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory by dumping some lackluster nominee on the unwilling Republican voters in the mistaken belief that only some Johnny Milquetoast RINO can appeal to the wider segment of society.

Dude, we tried that, TWICE and it failed…

How about for a change they just let the people decide who they want, for better or worse and then get the hell out of the way?

This election isn’t going to be about ‘likes and wants’ as much as who you hate and fear the most. And right now it seems the GOPe is siding with the Democrats.

GOP Leadership Squanders Perfect Moment; Will NEVER Defund Planned Parenthood

Brent Bozell, in his Fox News piece today put it fairly well. “There’s no pretty way of putting this.” When Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced that conservatives need to be patient and that the time is still not right, there can be no other conclusion except that he has no intention of ever voluntarily voting to stop giving taxpayer money to Planned Parenthood.
giphy
How do we know this? Easy. Just imagine what could possibly make the situation more ripe for doing so – right now. A mere few months ago, no one could have imagined the complete and total havoc wrought on the reputation of Planned Parenthood by seemingly endless undercover tapes showing PP officials swigging wine and gloating about making a fortune selling intact baby parts that could only be obtained by harvesting in illegal (and horrific) ways. PP CEO Cecile Richards has been publicly forced to admit embarrassing things in front of Congress that strip virtually any remaining legitimacy from the organization.

What else could we possibly be waiting for? What science fiction writer-on-amphetamines could come up with anything more compelling? The answer, of course, is ‘nothing.’

They’ve had one job that was a no-brainer for 40 years. One job that could surely be done with good conscience even if nothing else on the conservative agenda got done. Instead, zip, zilch, nada.

They’ve made themselves immoral and useless. It’s time for us to make them extinct. Please vote for a Tea Party extremist next year, instead of a RINO.

The new GOP Congress

2015_01 Home from Hawaii

“The days of hiding under Harry Reid’s desk are over.” Charles Krauthammer

During the past eight years of Democrat rule, Harry Reid concentrated the power of the U.S. Senate in his office.  The newly elected Senate Majority Leader, Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), says he is going to return to the traditional business model whereby all the Senators actually do their jobs.

Obama likes to present himself as this fearless leader, but his record of voting Present or being absent for important votes in the U.S. and Illinois Senates exposes that as a fraud.  Reid’s policy of sitting on any legislation Obama didn’t want to sign allowed the big baby to avoid taking a stand on anything.  Now that the GOP holds the majority in the House and Senate, Obama will finally have to fish or cut bait.  I expect a nervous breakdown any day now.

How Mitch McConnell Outsmarted Obama

Reid and McConnell

SUMMARY: “Last night was a resounding victory for McConnell not because he sabotaged the Senate but because it confirmed what he already knew: Obama’s ideas are naïve and destructive, and therefore unpopular. McConnell’s refusal to allow his GOP minority caucus to be a rubber stamp for the disastrous liberal agenda was what stopped the midterms from being a pox on both houses and instead a referendum on those responsible for the wreckage: the Democrats.”

Commentary Magazine: How Mitch McConnell Outsmarted Obama, by Seth Mandel – Nov 5, 2014

Republicans–and some desperate Democrats who saw the writing on the wall–didn’t need anyone to tell them to make last night’s midterms about President Obama. His unpopularity was not in doubt, and his responsibility for manifold governmental failures over the last several years was undeniable. And yet, GOP Senate leader Mitch McConnell still deserves a large share of the credit for what may seem like an obvious anti-Obama election. How McConnell outsmarted the president and saved the Senate (at least temporarily) is one of the midterms’ more fascinating subplots.

As Jonathan Tobin mentioned late last night, McConnell belongs at the top of the list of winners, while Democratic Senate leader Harry Reid is second only to Obama in the losers column. Yet the efforts of both men to bring about that result are still widely–and in some cases, probably purposely–misunderstood. A perfect distillation of how to get the McConnell strategy exactly wrong comes via Vox, unsurprisingly. There, Matt Yglesias sums up the Democratic spin on how the Senate has been run by both Reid and McConnell. The spin is unambiguously false, but it does show the extent to which Reid’s mendacious propaganda actually convinced many liberals who don’t grasp the granular details of the Senate. Here’s Yglesias:

A Republican comeback of this scale was by no means guaranteed. In the winter of 2008-2009, the leaders of the Obama transition effort had a theory as to how things would go and mainstream Washington agreed with them.

The theory went like this. With large majorities in the House and Senate, it was obvious that lots of Democratic bills would pass. But the White House would be generous and make concessions to Republicans who were willing to leap on the bandwagon. Consequently, incumbent Republicans from states Obama won (Maine, New Hampshire, Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana, Nevada) would be eager to cut deals in which they backed Obama bills in exchange for key concessions. With that process under way, many Republicans who weren’t even that vulnerable would be eager to cut deals as well, in search of a piece of the action. As a result, bills would pass the Senate with large 70- to 75-vote majorities, and Obama would be seen as the game-changing president who healed American politics and got things done.

McConnell’s counter plan was to prevent those deals. As McConnell told Josh Green, the key to eroding Obama’s popularity was denying him the sheen of bipartisanship, and that meant keep Republicans united in opposition[.]

Yglesias then quotes McConnell as saying “We worked very hard to keep our fingerprints off of these proposals,” and adds himself:

To prevent Obama from becoming the hero who fixed Washington, McConnell decided to break it. And it worked. Six years into the affair, we now take it for granted that nothing will pass on a bipartisan basis, no appointment will go through smoothly, and everything the administration tries to get done will take the form of a controversial use of executive power.

It’s quite possible Yglesias actually believes this. Many on the left have been thoroughly confused by how the Senate works, and they are almost always eager to believe the most negative portrayal of Republicans out there. But rather than Obama being generously and genuinely bipartisan, what happened was that he took his election to be a mandate for his own plans– “I won,” as he famously said.

And so the Obama strategy, with Reid’s help in the Senate, was to get what Yglesias calls the “sheen” of bipartisanship: get a very liberal bill that consists mostly of handouts to liberal interest groups and greatly increases presidential power on an issue, and pretend it’s the work of both parties by offering token, vote-buying concessions to convince a few Republicans to put their names on the overall bill. McConnell wasn’t buying it, because he understood that Obama had no intention of actually crafting bills that would prominently feature conservative ideas–the two sides were too far apart anyway.

McConnell also understood that Obama’s ideas were terrible, and would be unpopular. In some cases, we knew the bills were unpopular before they even went up for vote. Obama wanted an insurance policy (no ObamaCare pun intended): to have his name on the “achievement” if it turned out to be popular but to have Republicans own its passage in case it wasn’t. It was cynical and dishonest, and it didn’t succeed because Obama fooled his fans in the media but not McConnell.

Additionally, as anyone who follows the Senate closely knows, Reid’s strategy was to put unprecedented limits on the minority (Republicans) in the legislating process. Republicans were shut out of the traditional bipartisan role and also shut out of the amendment process. Reid didn’t want Republican input at all and didn’t want debate either. The plain fact is that it was Reid who “decided to break” the Senate, since Republicans weren’t willing to simply add their names to Obama’s legislative wish lists. And in order to protect constitutionally suspect legislation in the courts, Reid tossed out the filibuster as well.

Last night was a resounding victory for McConnell not because he sabotaged the Senate but because it confirmed what he already knew: Obama’s ideas are naïve and destructive, and therefore unpopular. McConnell’s refusal to allow his GOP minority caucus to be a rubber stamp for the disastrous liberal agenda was what stopped the midterms from being a pox on both houses and instead a referendum on those responsible for the wreckage: the Democrats.

The original intent was to take at least a week off,as one would take time off work to mourn the passing of a loved one. After much prayer and meditation I felt that the burden of sorrow becomes lighter when you look to your family and friends for solace. When we lift our voices in unison, perhaps a compassionate God will guide us through these rocky shoals.

First,I’ve never been much of a silver-lining guy.Second place in a contest is the first loser.I fear that what has been done to us cannot be undone. If anybody can name a federal program that ever went away once it’s been established, please let me know. The fallback position for any liberal is that a failed policy just needs more money. The thought that it was a bad idea to begin with never occurs to them.Obamacare is here to stay, folks, get used to it.

There is strong evidence Benedict Roberts had originally sided with the constitutionalists on the court.Remember when I said Obama knew what the vote was minutes after it was done, thanks probably to Kagan?Do you recall how he stormed in front of the cameras, wagged his finger and warned the court about taking the ‘unprecedented’ step of overturning established law?Roberts even lobbied Kennedy hard to switch so all the blame would not fall on him.The reasons he sold the country out are known only to him,but I get the sense he knew what he was doing because immediately afterward he hopped a plane to Malta, which he referred to as ‘an isolated island fortress.’ Obama even gave him travel expenses–thirty pieces of silver.

That puddle of pudding,Boehner, boldly announced a July 11 vote to repeal Obamatax. To what end? It’s going nowhere, everybody knows it.Just a little something to tell the folks at home.McConnell has previously stated they have no intention of repealing it,and I doubt Romney would have the stomach for it either. There will be no happy ending.

Obama lied when he said it wasn’t a tax!We can nail him because he lied.Guess what?People know he lied. They think most politicians lie.Taxes only hurt those who are working. The democrat base is the very rich, who don’t care about the money, and the poor, who don’t pay anything anyway. As long as they get their free stuff,it’s all good.

What do you suppose he hired those 16,000 IRS agents for?Rush said yesterday that they will have the power to go into any business and get your payroll records and know what both you and your family make. If  they feel you’re not paying enough, or none at all for your insurance, even if your company has dropped coverage for their employees, they have the power to deduct monies from your check,as they do with FICA and withholding. This is enumerated in the first response, entitled ‘the ten worst things about Obamacare.’
