Their Majesties drop the pretenses

After all … tthey don’t have to run for re-election again, so they can stop pretending they give a damn about anybody but themselves.

2012 Obama Vacays

Michelle has quietly dropped her “Let’s Move” campaign and I won’t hold my breath waiting on her to pretend she cares about military families ever again. And Barry will let his Jobs Council fade away this week without renewing its charter, which won’t matter one whit, since the few times the Jobs Council actually met, he refused to do anything they recommended … which could have something to do with the record-breakingly high unemployment we’ve endured ever since he took office the FIRST time.

2013_01 22 Quick change artist by Terrell

What will their Royal Highnesses be doing now? Why, pushing the Progressive agenda right out in the open, of course. You know, that thing that the high unemployment and runaway spending were all about from the beginning.

It’s all part of the Elitist Hypocrite’s drive to bring back the Good Old Days of feudalism, when the 2% owned and controlled everything.

They’re not pretending any more. Any of them.

ITooktheRedPill Corrects Democrat Lies

Republicans tried to prevent the sub-prime mortgage crisis.

It was Democrats who passed the Community Reinvestment Act, Democrats who expanded it, Democrats who cooked the books at Fannie and Freddie as other Democrats pressured banks to make more and more of those high-risk loans, and Democrats who prevented Republican attempts at reform:

Democrats Covering up the Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac [8:37]

As for employment, let’s look at the big picture.

Employment, Population and Political Party Leadership

EMPLOYMENT UNDER REPUBLICAN LEADERSHIP

For 12 continuous years, Republicans held majority control of Washington, D.C. (they held 2+ out of 3 of the House, Senate, and Presidency). During that time, the average level of employment over 144 straight months was 63.3%, and never went below 62.0%.

When George W. Bush took office in 2001, one could truly say that he “inherited” the economy, because he had not been a part of the Congress that helped create that economy. And what he inherited was the Dot Com bust, followed shortly thereafter by the 9/11/2001 attacks, which created an economic double whammy. Employment was decreasing in 2001, 2002, and early 2003, and it was not until the 2003 Bush Tax Cuts were signed into law that the economy turned around, employment rose, and tax revenues rose along with that rising employment.

  • The low point of employment in 2003 was 62.0% in September 2003.
  • By December 2006, employment was up to 63.4%.

Thanks in large part to the Bush Tax Cuts, the economy grew, employment grew, and tax revenues grew. Tax revenues in FY 2007 were a whopping 44% larger than FY 2003 revenues! That was the effect of Republican-backed policies.

Again, employment in the last month of the Republican majority was 63.4%… even after inheriting the Dot Com bust and the 9/11 attacks, Bush was able to turn the economy around and finish the Republican majority with an employment percentage that was slightly higher than the 12-year Republican majority average (which was 63.3%).

That improvement hit an inflection point when the balance of power shifted from Republican to Democrat on January 3, 2007. Democrats raised the minimum wage 3 times, in 2007, 2008, and 2009, and while may sound good to you, the fact is that whenever the minimum wage is raised, some people who would have been employed at minimum wage previously do not end up making more, but rather end up unemployed. There is a reason why youth unemployment is higher now than it was 6 years ago. The financial crisis of 2008 of course increased unemployment (/decreased employment), but again Republicans had warned of, and tried to stop, that crisis, but Democrats thwarted attempts at reform and additional oversight.

EMPLOYMENT UNDER DEMOCRAT LEADERSHIP

We’ve now had six continuous years of Democrats holding majority control of Washington, D.C. Average employment over those six years has been 60.0%, and we haven’t had a month above that average since February 2009. The average over the four years of Obama’s first term was 58.7%, and we haven’t had a month above that average since August 2009.

When Democrats in Congress took majority control on January 3, 2007, they inherited a GOOD economy. And you can’t honestly say that Obama “inherited” the poor state of the economy on January 20, 2009, because he had been a Senator since January 3, 2005 and had helped to create that economy. And even if you insist on blaming Bush for the economy that Obama “inherited” on January 20, 2009, the fact remains that the economy Obama just inherited from himself is far, far worse!

Texas leads the way

2013_01 08 Iowahawk tweets re Texas surplus

The Texas State Legislature begins its 2013 session with an EIGHT BILLION DOLLAR budget SURPLUS. How is that possible when the Federal and most State governments are drowning in red ink? Well, it seems that back in 2011, the Texas Legislature cut spending (what a concept) and allowed a fracking boom (ooh eeevil, providing cheap energy to Americans). Not only is the State government flush, but the jobless rate in Texas is at 6.2%. Read the rest @ http://news.yahoo.com/texas-legislature-wrestle-over-unexpected-budget-surplus-184800547.html

Sadly, Democrats care more about ideology than success, so don’t look for BLUE gummints to pick up The Texas Ball and run with it.

Obama lied. Let me go look for my surprised face.

We give 'em a choice

Last Monday, President Obama said that right-to-work laws mean “the right to work for less money.”

This is the exact opposite of the truth:

  • RTWS Right-To-Work States vs. FUS Forced-Unionization States
  • PAY: RTWS increased by 12% vs. FUS increased by 3% (2001 thru 2011)
  • EMPLOYMENT: RTWS expanded 2.4% vs. FUS declined 3.4% (2001 thru 2011)
  • JOB GROWTH: RTWS responsible for 72% of all growth across the U.S. (June 2009 through September 2012)
  • POPULATION: RTWS increased by 15.3% vs. FUS increased by 5.9% (2000 to 2010)
  • (Non-government) UNION MEMBERSHIP: RTWS declined by 9.2% vs. FUS declined by 9.5% (2000 to 2010)

Freeloading is a lie:

RTW allows workers the right to work in a unionized shop without paying union dues. However, this hardly constitutes “freeloading” since bargaining for contracts occupies a tiny percentage of what unions spend their dues money for. For example, Michigan Education Association spent only 11% of its budget on contract negotiating. The rest went for things a lot of union workers resent, like the bloated salaries union managers pay themselves and the Democrat-biased political activities that violate the political preferences of a huge number of those who are forced to contribute. (Todd Palin’s union dues were spent on slandering his wife’s Vice Presidential campaign!)

Joblessness goes up after Obama’s re-election

Nov 15: The Department of Labor has announced that new jobless claims rose by a staggering 78,000 in the first week after the election. The administration is blaming Hurricane Sandy, but the worst hits were to Pennsylvania and Ohio, where there were thousands of layoffs in the construction, manufacturing, and automobile industries, while layoffs in New York actually dropped.

A HARBINGER OF THINGS TO COME

posted by Pistol Pete

First,a couple tidbits:

In dozens of precincts where GOP inspectors were removed obama got 100% of the vote.

States with voter ID laws that Obastard won:0.

You wonder why this all comes out conveniently after the election: thousands of  being laid off.

I went to list companies that announced layoffs–it is staggering.

MY LIST OF RESENTMENTS

Posted by Pistol Pete

I had every intention of making this my last post.I was as heartbroken as any of you after the catastrophe of this week.I’d planned to divorce myself from politics and turn my computer into a solitaire game-playing machine.I was heartened by some of the comments that have been posted here the last two days and realized you don’t lose until you give up.You people have helped me through some extremely difficult times in my life and giving up would turn me into what I despise the most.It may be awhile until the sense of loss diminishes and the mourning period ends.Until then I’ve come up with an extensive list of things I resent.Consider this an open thread if you want to add anything you resent.

I RESENT

Being forced to see his vile countenance everywhere, smiling that chesire cat smile and lying openly, knowing half the populace will either believe him or don’t care and those who do care can’t do anything about it.He knows the press will never call him on it.

Him bellowing about bringing the parties together to work for the American people.I am fluent in Obamaspeak so loosely translated it means:I won again, you can’t do dick to stop me and you white motherfuckers can kiss my entire black ass.

His  porcine broodsow  issuing edicts on what wholly inedible foodstuffs our schools  must feed our children while she stuffs anything not moving in her cavernous maw.

Being regaled with her taxpayer-funded junkets around the world and the media swooning over how beautiful a camel can look in designer clothes.

Mia Love lost her bid for the House.

Allen West was redistricted out of his seat with the help of some voting chicanery.

That odiferous turd Alan Grayson is back.

Mourdock lost his Senate bid not so much because he said something sophomoric, but Dickless Lugar wanted payback for being primaried out.

Akin lost to a corrupt bitch in Missouri not so much because he stepped on his penis, but the GOP and Rove cut and ran leaving him to fend for himself against a filthy pig with abundant rescources.

Harry the Toad is trying to eliminate the filibuster so he can play the Keeper of the Realm.

The state of Israel is on its own since Barry would ask for a UN resolution of condemnation if Iran launched a nuclear attack. He has promised aid to Israel and we all know what his word is worth. He got 68% of the Jewish vote.

Hundreds of thousands of overseas military ballots arrived a day too late to be counted. They would have swung enough swing states to make Romney the president.

Three million white voters stayed home. The vote total McCain got in 2008 would have beaten Obama, who got two million less votes than he got in his first election.Maybe some were just tired of the mushy moderates we’ve had to swallow since 1988.Ron Paul voters are also suspect.

Our gallant military will be sliced to pieces by a CIC who openly despises them.

Veterans who have earned their benefits will be shown the back of Barry’s hand.

That gutless milksop John Boehner has already surrendered, telling Obastard he’s open to raising taxes in exchange for imaginary spending cuts everybody knows will never happen.

Tingles expressing his gratitude that Hurricane Sandy killed scores of people and destroyed millions of lives so his living god could look presidential and bipartisan thanks to governor Krispy Kreme. He can now spend the next four years cleaning his messiah’s sphincter with his tongue.

The day will come when we look back on when gas was $4.00 and refer to them as the good old days.

We were pushed over the cliff and into the abyss by dead-enders who have surrendered their dignity and self-respect in exchange for a life of Nanny Government giving them a lot of free stuff and making their decisions for them. They don’t give a damn about the deficit, taxes(they don’t pay any), unemployment(who wants to work?), health insurance(they get theirs free), or anybody that actually has skin in the game.

With our 2014 tax returns we will get a form to fill out listing any medical conditions you have, what medications you take and the name and contact information of your insurance carrier. If,like me,you have no insurance, you will pay a hefty fine and be placed in a government program.

The GOP-e is in the process of eliminating or marginalizing the Tea Party class of 2010 so they can go back to having circle jerk parties with the democrat buddies they split the taxpayer and lobbyist pies with.

My grandchildren may never have a good-paying full-time job or know what it’s like to be self-sufficient.

There will be another Republican president one day,but I may not live long enough to see it.I just wish I could see the country I love returned to a modicum of its former greatness before I lay my burden down for the last time.

If you have anymore feel free to post.I’ll be back sometime.

Brilliant MUST SEE Video About Conservativism!

I’ve got goosebumps. Seriously. Please watch and share!

CONSERVATISM IS CALLING [7:38]

This video was not paid for by anyone. It was made by a citizen with a computer and the courage of his convictions.

If the folks you talk to are still thinking Democrats care more about the poor, show them this video and ask one simple question:

“If the government goes bankrupt, how will the people who depend on government checks survive?”
