According to the Times, the private committee raised $107 million for the inauguration. It’s unclear how much money the committee still has.

Elias and the team argued that because the ads were so small that such a disclosure would be impractical, CNN reports. The Federal Election Commission, which consists of three Democrats and three Republicans, split 3-3 on their vote of allowing Facebook to forego the disclaimers.
However, the split vote allowed savvy lawyers to work around the request since the FEC did not issue an opinion. Facebook went ahead and allowed political advertisements on its site without disclosures following the commission’s gridlock.

Presidential contenders will now need to invest time and money into vying for California’s hundreds of delegates. Running campaigns in California is a costly proposition because the vast state encompasses several major media markets, which requires multiple ad buys.
The move could also buoy Ms Harris, a first-term Democrat whose potential presidential aspirations have fueled rumors since shortly after she took office. Having served two terms as the state’s attorney general, Ms Harris would have the advantage of name recognition and an existing donor network.

The data analytics group Optimus, which conducted a poll on Friday and Saturday, has Moore at 55.4 percent versus Strange at 44.6 percent. An Emerson College Polling Society survey found its results to be similar, with Moore at 50 percent versus Strange at 40 percent.

My guess was that Moore will win tomorrow night by eight points despite the fact that he’s led by more in various polls of the Alabama runoff. If Trafalgar’s right, the actual margin will be double that. Earlier, Minority Leaders Pelosi and Schumer proposed a plan to tie Hurricane Harvey relief to a short-term debt ceiling increase until mid-December. President Trump agreed to support the Democratic plan. To make matters even worse, the president said Wednesday that his administration will always “automatically” agree on increasing the debt ceiling.
Several Republicans briefed on the meeting said that Trump, who has been absent a major legislative achievement for his first seven months in office, was hungry for a deal.
“We had a very good meeting with Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. We agreed to a three-month extension on debt ceiling, which they consider to be sacred — very important — always we’ll agree on debt ceiling automatically because of the importance of it,” Trump told reporters Wednesday aboard Air Force One.
The deal is a warning to Republicans — primarily to the party establishment, which has fought Trump at every turn, but also to conservative Republicans, who have long worried about Trump shifting leftwards.
Trump did not provide numbers on what the policy would cost overall, or whether it would apply to all taxpayers or just those who are below a certain income bracket. The initiative is one previously alluded to in an April White House document that outlined the administration’s vision for tax reform. Part of the appeal of the tax credit is that it benefits regular working families, according to meeting attendees who spoke to Politico.
It was a debate for the ages. Texas Senator Ted Cruz, a constitutional conservative versus Soviet-style socialist Bernie Sanders on CNN Wednesday night over the future of the failed Obamacare debacle.
